Early 19th C. Quilt

A circa 1840-60 quilt in a Robbing Peter to Pay Paul pattern with printed cotton top and a plain homespun linen backing. This is a very graphic motif in pleasing soft colors. My favorite detail of this quilt is the heart motif of one of the brown calico cotton prints.
