Early Chestnut Bowl and Scoop
A nice early turned bowl paired with a hand carved scoop both made from chestnut, the scoop having twine for hanging. New England, early 19th century.
Chestnut is my favorite wood, I love the graphic quality of the grain. I found these two separately, but felt they should live life together. Found in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, respectively.
